Abstract: The rank-parity function associated with a class of partitions gives rise to objects with rich analytical and combinatorial properties. In this talk, we will discuss the rank-parity function associated with Rogers-Ramanujan partitions and show their close correspondence with an interesting class of restricted partitions, namely, partitions into distinct parts where the number of parts is not a part. We will show some interesting congruences related to these functions. This talk is based on joint work with Gaurav Kumar and Prof. Atul Dixit.
